SALCC's The Hunter J. François Library is proud to announce its inaugural Saint Lucian Book Fair, Writers in the Spotlight, scheduled for January 24, 2025 as part of the Nobel Laureate Festival celebrations at the College.

The Hunter J. François Library proudly accepted a remarkable book donation from the Read Japan Project, marking a significant step towards cultural exchange and collaboration.

Hosted on the sands of Marriott Beach, the event brought together 13 teams from 11 countries, all aiming for a spot in the FIVB Beach Volleyball U21 World Championships, slated for July 2025 in Georgia.
Jules, a Francois House member, formed part of Saint Lucia’s four-person team alongside Marie Therese St. Claire of the St. Joseph's Convent, and Daniel Joseph and Rayquan Francis of the Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School.
Selena Ross U-19 West Indies Selection
SALCC student Selena Ross has achieved a significant milestone by being selected for the West Indies Women's Under-19 cricket team as its set off for a United Kingdom tour.
The tour includes participation in an England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) development tournament, with matches against teams from Scotland and Ireland, as well as fixtures against the ECB Southern Under-19 Women’s Regional team. This opportunity will allow Ross and her teammates to gain invaluable experience as they prepare for the ICC Women’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup, set to take place in January 2025 in Malaysia.
Ross, a left-arm medium-fast bowler and a left-handed batter, is one of the rising stars in women’s cricket, both in Saint Lucia and in the Caribbean. She is poised to bring a powerful combination of pace and batting strength to her team.
On Friday November 17, SALCC had the pleasure of hosting a contingent of 26 staff members and students from the University of Guyana's International Relations Programme.
They received a tour of the campus, attended an academic lecture, and dined in for lunch at The College's Le Forte Restaurant.
The visit was organized by the College's Academic Partnerships and Internalisation Unit.
