2025 Memorial Lecture by Dr. Clarence Henry

Keynote speaker Dr. Clarence Henry, acting Head of the Regional Integration Unit of the OECS Commission, poses this question; What does economic success look like for small islands in this dynamic age?⁠

Throughout his lecture, Economic Prosperity in the New Age: What are the Prescriptions for Growth and Development for SIDS? - Some Global Lessons, Dr. Henry prescribes ways in which Saint Lucia and other small island developing states can stimulate economic growth and development, by leveraging all the factors present in the modern era.

Dr. Clarence Henry is a Saint Lucian Development Economist. He is a holder of a Diploma in Teaching, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and Government, Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degrees in Economic Development from the University of the West Indies (UWI).
