Gone too soon Zina Anthony and zhané Williams

The Board of Governors, Management, faculty, staff and students of SALCC extend deepest condolences to the families of Zhané Williams and Zina Anthony who passed away tragically on Saturday, 29th April as a result of a vehicular accident on the Gros Islet Highway. These young students from the Division of Arts, Science and General Studies (DASGS) were hard workers who were regarded fondly by faculty and peers alike. They were active in various sports and College clubs.

Counsellors will be available at SALCC throughout the day on Tuesday 2 May from 8:30am to meet with students, faculty and the wider College community. Kindly visit the Students' Services Department to be directed to the location of an available counsellor.

Though words cannot erase the ache or make the pain go away but our love, encouragement and support goes a long way. Let us hold each other, the students and their families, friends, classmates, teammates, faculty and staff in mind and in our prayers at this difficult and tragic time.

"The fundamental cure for poverty is not money, but knowledge."
