The Associate Degree is viewed as a post-secondary education qualification that is awarded on the successful
completion of a prescribed programme of studies that is defined by credits attained for respective courses and series of courses. Thus the unit of measurement for the Associate Degree is the CREDIT, which is defined as the academic value of a theory course delivered for one hour per week during a full-length semester. A practical or research course may need more time assigned for a credit.
Each programme will consist of a proper balance of General Education, Programme, and Elective courses that would ensure that the recipient of the Associate Degree has acquired Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes that will:-
