Sir Arthur Lewis Community College recognizes the role of information technology in the academic community and in the larger society. The College is committed to providing all students and employees with access to a variety of computer resources and to providing opportunities for all members of the College community to learn to utilize these resources effectively and efficiently. In return, the College expects that the computer resources will be used in a manner that is consistent with the College's mission.

All users of computer resources are expected to act in a spirit of mutual respect and cooperation, and to adhere to the regulations for their use set forth in this document. Users are also expected to observe all local and international laws and/or guidelines governing the use of technology.

All users are expected to read, understand and comply with the most current version of this policy. Ignorance of this policy does not excuse violations.

The facilities (including software) are provided entirely at the risk of the user. The College shall not be liable for loss or damage to data or equipment resulting from the College's efforts to maintain the privacy and security of the computer resources.
