There are different categories of users at the HJFL. Each of these users have varying degrees of borrowing privileges. The borrowing privileges established for each category of user is as follows:

SALCC staff	5	14 days
Full time Students	4	14 days
Full time Lecturers	5	14 days
Part Time Lecturers	4	14 days
Teachers	2	14 days
Ministry of Education Personnel	2	14 days
Secondary school students		no borrowing privileges
Students from overseas Universities and Colleges		no borrowing privileges

A letter of introduction must be presented at the time of registration from the Ministry of Education Staff or Personnel and from the School Teachers from their Principals.

Non campus borrowers (numbers 6, 7 & 9) are required to pay EC$105.00. A non refundable fee of EC$50.00. A Refundable fee of $50.00 for use of the facilities and EC$5.00 fee for the Library card.

Secondary School students will require permission from the librarian to use the library, through a letter from the school indicating the reason for library use.
