The Alumni Association of Sir Arthur Lewis Community College is open to past students of the college and past students of it's predecessor institutions of the Morne Educational Complex.
A small group has come together to act as a steering committee to formulate and launch THE SIR ARTHUR LEWIS COMMUNITY COLLEGE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION. The question may be asked "Who is an Alumni?" The answer is simply " A Graduate." This leads to a slightly more involved question of " What is an Alumni Association?" It is defined by its membership and function: An Alumni Association is made up of people who show commitment and loyalty to the institution. These are usually graduates of the institution. A partnership is formed where the needs of both parties can be met.
Such an Association is a necessary one and can only enrich and enhance the lives of all involved as well as the community as a whole. Its goal is to provide an opportunity for its members to undertake, through their own participation, programmes and other activities which will contribute to the growth, advancement, prestige, and good government of the College and of the Association.
Why an Alumni Association:
-
To encourage members of the association to share their expertise and experiences in their respective areas of specialization with current students as a form of career guidance.
-
To maintain and foster stronger relationships among graduates.
-
To assist in the realization of scholarships and bursaries.
