This course is an  introductory course which serves to introduce students to the historical development of libraries through that ages and the influences which has contributed to the growth or decline of libraries through the ages. It also serves to introduce to the interconnectedness of books to libraries and how they have developed through the ages and their contributions in making libraries what they are today.
